Adding glass beads to your design is ideal for achieving maximum sparkle. But if you want to keep the budget at a minimum and achieve a nice shiny result, you\u2019ll have to think differently.<\/p>\n

Achieving high sparkle on a costume can be challenging, especially if you only have acrylic gems to work with. It’s still best to pair them with rhinestones and continue with your project from there. This combination of glass stones and acrylic gems should appear balanced. Glass stones reflect more light, so place them strategically on your design. Also, use gems with sharp facets. At Miss Glamurosa we work with many acrylic stones from Allstarco<\/a>, which we absolutely love.<\/p>\n

The \u201cBling Bling\u201d era of the late 90’s early 2000’s surely had an impact on samba costumes. The most significant change has been that sequins on a basic costume were replaced by rhinestones. The designs became oh so trendy and luxurious, which resulted in higher priced costumes. You would think twice before investing in a costume and consequently, dancers and agencies looked for alternatives, like DIY projects to cut on expenses.<\/p>\n

I focus on glamor, elegance, sophistication, and a lot of tropical charm.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I believe that every samba dancer with passion for samba and with admiration for the Brazilian culture, is worthy of a beautiful costume. This was my main focus when I created the Ready-To-Wear Collection for Miss Glamurosa Costumes and I will continue to do so for future collections. I focus on glamor, elegance, sophistication, and a lot of tropical charm.<\/p>\n

So toning down the luxuriousness of a costume but keeping it’s sophistication, requires creativity. Achieving this from start to finish in a short period of time may require skills ass well. At Miss Glamurosa we want to guarantee that beautiful handmade costumes are made available to all samba dancers for an attractive price. Please note, that elaborate and luxurious costumes are often worth the price.<\/p>\n
