New Wire Frames made in Brazil
Last year I’ve decided that I want to speed up the process of making a samba costume and I wanted to buy some frames ready made. So I went online to find my Brazilian supplier and I found him. I can now proudly announce that for upcoming collections for Miss Glamurosa Costumes, I will be creating many samba costumes with wire frames by Brazilian artist, Sebastião Jordão Ferragens.
Seek and you shall find
To find my supplier, I obviously had to search online using Portuguese terms, as searching in Portuguese is a key factor when looking for Brazilian suppliers. I used words like “ferragens”, “arames” and “ferros”. My goal was to get in contact with an authentic Brazilian artist and making sure that language won’t be a barrier for doing business. If it feels right, I would go for it. It turned out great!
The feel good factor
Many people have made beautiful creations from these wire frames and some designs have become quite popular over the years, because the frames are lightweight, well made, they give plenty of space for your creativity and they are without a doubt a work of art that deserves our respect. It feels great to have them in my hands, because of all the reasons above and because Sebastião is a really nice person. I will be purchasing more of these frames for future samba costumes by Miss Glamurosa Costumes. Aren’t these frames just fabulous?
